As you can tell, I’ve been too busy to blog lately. First the hack thing, from which the blog seems to have finally emerged after 2 weeks of hell. But now I’m teaching a summer course, and tomorrow I leave at 5:30am for a palliative care conference in the southern part of the state. Not enough for you?
Here are some other excuses:
1. We’ve been redecorating/remodeling the entire first floor. Our kitchen as I type this (and forget the counters and floor):

Can't decide on cabinet colors. Kids like them as is.
2. Trying get the summer camp/travel schedules set…

3. Watching a lot of soccer, both professional and this kind:
4. Moving into a new office at the university:

And you can see I haven't gotten very far...
So, while these are all good things, lately I look and feel like this:

uh oh. Mommy has the crazy eyes. And hair. Run!!
I’ll be back. Thanks for your patience!

Hope you aren’t on hiatus for too long as we will miss you, but that you have a get all your other things done!
Oh, we miss you. So glad to see this check in. Your office looks gorgeous, and your son looks highly professional, like he is really going to kick that ball hard! The kitchen cabinets, on the other hand, are giving me a bad flashback. All I can say is, think hard before you choose a color.
I love the new blog colors. So clean and summery!
I hope all your Stuff goes well.
you are missed, no one knows what’s going on with our your Monday Morning Stepbacks! and i commend thee for sharing your last pic. what a perfect visual representation (from your expression to your hair) of how you feel!
I’ve missed you! Love the photos! They brought a smile to my face.
Isn’t that how all moms look, most of the time?
I have HUGE office envy. I sit in a horrid small open-plan area with so many piles of papers on or around me that my actual working area is around the size of an A4 pad.
@Marg: thank you! My summer class ends Friday, so hopefully I will get a post in soon.
@Carolyn Crane: I am sorry to report that we chose the color on the far right. Poolhouse Blue. I promise never to invite you over.
@Victoria Janssen: thanks. It;s a feature of the template that I’ve never used. I am actually going to do a Big Redesign for my second anniversary later this summer so don’t get to used to how things look now!
@Lusty Reader: LOL. thank you! I have to read a lot of shitty posts to get that list of gems, you know.
@Julia Rachel Barrett: oh, I’m glad. They made me smile too!
@Sherry Thomas: Yeah, probably. but at that moment I had just come up to my office to see what the kids were up to and found them in a wrestling match while playing with Macbook’s Photo Booth.
@Tumperkin: Thanks! I am pretty thrilled with it, even though I have nothing to furnish it with. Well, there’s always inline skating around the perimeter while I philosophize.
At one point in the last month, I had 18 different colors of paint on the walls of 3 separate rooms. Sigh. I feel your pain.
(But man, your office looks like it’s going to be great.)
Hey,
Things look good; I like the kitchen paint. Hope I’ll get to see it. Finally bought tickets, i’ll email you our dates later today.
T.
@Tanya: Squeee!! Wait til you see the rest of downstairs!!
@Collette: Oh, you made me feel much better. We were never quite that undecided.
