I honestly don’t know how well she does the history –Kate seems convinced! — I’m sure no judge, but it FEELS right to me, which is all I ask for.

I had a very hard time getting through the Chase, and blogged about what I found bothersome. Although many people loved it.

thanks for giving us your viewpoint. I am also a very slow reader. Kathleen O’Reilly recently said something about a category being long enough for to read while bathing before the water gets cold. That would be about a 4 hour bath for me.

Thanks for the joint review. I hope all the blog attention that’s been shown to Duran’s two new books will gain her many more readers. She writes beautifully layered characters. No need to enter me in the drawing. Like Maya M., I’ll read anything she writes.

I am also one of many other Duran devotees since the first book, willing to read anything she cares to publish (including her dissertation, whenever that till be complete).
It would just be nice to see some less generic,more individualized covers on the stories.

I’ve been having some trouble getting through this one, but you’ve convinced me to keep trying. (I don’t know what it is with me and historicals lately… I bogged down in Don’t Tempt Me, too. Loretta Chase, for crying out loud! How can one possibly bog down in Loretta Chase?!)
