No! I was just being funny. I don’t think your blog is unpopular. I think blogs phase, though. The perspective you bring to posts like this is so valuable to me – extremely knowledgeable without being inaccessible. I hope you don’t stop!!

Oh, I was joking about that. It’s actually been growing slowly but steadily, esp in subscribers, since I started, which is alright by me. But I do notice I get a lot more comments on nonreview posts in general.

If I were serious about growing my blog, I am pretty sure I could double my numbers within a few weeks by 1. posting controversial posts, esp those critical of others in Romanceland, 2. more contests, 3. more posts about sex. 4. More scathingly negative reviews, 5. Following a lot more people on Twitter and tweet more, 6. Making more comments on other blogs, esp big ones. 7. post more than three times a week

Alas, none of those are things I have the energy or inclination to do.

Except # 3. I am planning an entire week of penis posts. I am calling it “Member Week”!

I can. My blog has jumped the shark. It was a good 9 month run, though. I mean, some marriages don’t last that long.

At any rate, I LOVE this simple, smart discussion of morality vs urges/a pre-determined way of being. You are so right: it is right there, and in Sookie, too. Can we have our cake and eat it too in our books? It reminds me a bit of the uncontrolled hero urges – remember that post of yours? Not only do these elements co-exist in worlds like Iones and Harris’, but they co-exist within the steamy breasts of many heroes.

Though I’m just thinking out loud sort of. Really, though, it’s a wonderful observation. I always felt like Eidolan would uniquely be able to overcome this s’genesis. So you’re saying he doesn’t? Hmm. I must get back to this book! Just maybe not before bedtime.
