I am not much of a YA reader, either, although I loved Harry Potter and the Phillip Pullman series. This is only my second book in the YA/romance subgenre. It’s not so much my thing, although I am glad I’ve tried it.

It’s funny to compare Ward’s doggen to the heroine of this book. She is a fighter, and has more respect, I think, but at root, they are both servants.

I thought this was well worth reading if you like paranormal and you like YA.
