I had no idea what I was doing, but I changed my theme last night to displace some of the nervous tension I felt as the Red Wings went into overtime against the Chicago Blackhawks (they won and are now in the Stanley Cup finals. Again. Woohoo!).
I hope to have my old banner back up eventually, but otherwise, what you see is what you get.
My old theme was very old and had never been updated. This one is much newer and much easier to work with. I like the numbering and layout of the comments, I get bottom widgets, and I can get more stuff on the page without it feeling cramped.
Thanks for your patience!

Much better – more acreage for a start, and much easier to read. I approve.
I like it too! Love the widgets!
I love this new design – it’s so roomy! I feel free in it. It’s good. Wow, I need to figure out how to make my photo appear. I don’t want to be blank girl. Also, an RSS feed so my post it isn’t blank. And that high tech subscribe box! I want one, too! You are so together. Your new design is making me feel unworthy now. As you see, your design is all about ME!!
I do miss the booky header – glad that will come back. When I opened this up, I totally thought somebody had stolen your space or something!
I like this one. It loads faster. Plus, as everyone says, it’s roomy.
But I am glad you’re going to give us the old header back. Yours is one of my favorites.
I like.
It’s nice and simple and easy to read!
I always feel disoriented when a blog changes, but I’m sure I’ll like it later. : )
thanks everyone!

LOL. This is like when my husband gets his haircut and I say, “It’ll grow eventually.”

I don’t know why some of the RSS feeds are not showing up! I blame you guys.
Also, I gave you a computer generated icon. At least it’s more attractive than Little CJ. D’oh! I can’t believe I just let that one slip. (nervously looks over shoulder)
Yikes, I came across as the grouchiest of the curmudgeons, didn’t I?
But it’s mostly what Jill Sorenson said, a bit of disorientation until i get used to it–plus I seriously miss your old header, it was just soooooo purty
How do I get a picture next to my comment?
Azteclady — no, you didn’t! I appreciate your presence and your opinions!
Jill — Actually, I don’t know for sure. I have enabled icons so if you have one it will show up, like Ann’s and Mojo’s.
What I did for myself was to create a blogger account with an icon (it’s Hypatia, ancient Greek philosopher) and since I am always “logged in” when I visit others’ blogs, the icon shows up on any blog that allows icons –except this one, which I thought would be overkill, since I already get speshul colors.

“How do I get a picture next to my comment?”
Since this is a WordPress.com hosted blog, get an account with WP and load up an avatar. Tis very cool
Cool. Did it.
I LOVE the new design!
I also like the side bar thingy which shows what is on other blogs I might like to visit.
I was going to ask about the picture thing too but I can see that you answered Jill Sorenson above so I might see about opening a blogger account…
Great work. Thanks!
You seem like a nice person. I think your design deserves a beautiful award! I am wishing with both fingers crossed and my eyes shut very tight that you get one!! But don’t worry, you will have a grace period to pass it on. A short grace period.
Ok, I thought I was just losing it. It’s not me, then.
