<blockquote>I just came across this post, but I had to drop in and say Broken Wing was an unusual debut by an unknown author from a small press with a small print run. Kristie generated huge buzz that resulted in interest from other publishers and has lead to a very nice book deal, so not only did she help with the success of Broken Wing, she helped launch a career. I plan on mentioning her in the acknowledgements to that book’s sequel

Thank you Ms. James, for chiming in. It was Kristie's email about Broken Wing that lead me to buy it and read it, as did so many other bloggers. We all know we can count on Kristie's recommendations, and I enjoyed your book very much.

CJ: Well - North and South sells itself - heh heh heh - I just had to get the word out on it.

Tumperkin: One of the best thing is finding new bloggers! 'Cause right away there is another person I have something very special in common with - no matter where they live or what their particular favourite book or genre is - it's all about the love of romance. And as for my spreadsheet - *chuckle* it's a work of love.

Marg: ((((back at you)))) It is wonderful to have friends all over the world - even though chances are many of us will never meet in person.

"Romance readers are such generous people, it’s unbelievable."
Ana - that is so true. And that has been a lifeline when times have been hard. I am SO thankful that there is this wonderful community.

Jill: And I love following your blog too - and everyone's. You do such great reviews.

Keishon: Isn't this a great feature? And just think - I've 'known' you for over five years now - that's a great thing isn't it?

Janine: - Well - Kristie is nice - but Krisite can be be a bit scary - and not so nice at times ;-} Kristie drives her nuts at times.

Dottie: Mailyn designed the blog - and Ames just updated it. And the one I had before which I still adore was done by others too. I just do the inside stuff - so I can say - I really love it too :) And *g* passionate is an ever so much nicer word then obsessive.

Kristie is just great. When I first started blogging, she pimped my blog - as she does with lots of newbies. She is easily the most welcoming long-term blogger I've come across and she never pulls rank on anyone (though I bow to her). And yes, her knowledge of romance is encyclopaediac (plus she's organised and actually remembers/records what she's read!). Vive La Kristie.

Ramblings on Romance is one of my Must Read Romance blogs and has been for a long time now! I love how Kristie lets her passion for particular books and mini-series show through on her blog.

I have never met Kristie, and don't see that happening any time soon, but my heart broke for her just the same as she dealt with her husband's illness, and rejoiced when she got her job and when she went to RWA!

Kristie's blog is the reason why I decided to start blogging - she has been a major influence in my blogging life. Long live Ramblings on Romance and KristieJ! : D

I cried many tears when I read your posts at the time your husband was ill Kristie and I am happy to hear you found some solace in the blogging world. Romance readers are such generous people, it's unbelievable.

Oooh! I am looking forward to those.

Hi Kristie, Just thought I would drop in and give a shout out to my girl Kristie!! I stared following Kristie, a few months before she went to RWA in 2007. I felt like I got to know her so well through her friendly posts and the rest is history. Keep the posts coming Kristie, I love following along with you!
